I feel so despondent today. I really would like all of the headaches that I have been dealing with to just go away. I’m tired, I’m stressed, and all I want is to know that soon, things will be okay.
So my birthday is next week. I’ve decided that I need to really celebrate this one as a way to mark the beginning of my new life, even though it really started a month ago.
I’ve decided to extend this more or less into a weeklong celebration.
Friday: Roger Clyne & PH Naffah are performing an acoustic show at the Gothic Theater in Englewood. I’m really excited about it, and we managed to get a whole group together to go. It will be a ton of fun.
Saturday: Just got invited to a party of sorts, was told that there would be a lot of “single fish” there. That doesn’t sound exciting in the least, and I’m not really looking forward to going. I may not. I hate that when you’re single, everyone wants to set you up. It’s really sad, actually. It’s like they feel sorry for you, and presume that you can’t find people on your own. Plus, I hate that some people act like you’re not going to be whole if you’re not dating someone all the time. I like being single, and I’m not in any hurry to get back into a serious relationship.
Sunday: My first baseball game of the season. Rockies/Giants. I of course, will be rooting for the Rockies because the Giants suck and I hate them, almost as much as I hate the Yankees. It will also be my first trip to Coors Field, so I have another stadium to cross off my list.
Wednesday: My actual birthday. No plans as of yet, but I will come up with something by then, I’m sure.
Friday: Dodgers/Rockies at Coors Field. The only thing that would make this day better is if my ex-friend pulls his head out of his ass and decides to join me. If not, I’ll take someone less exciting and I still won’t care, I’ll be watching the Dodgers.
Saturday: If I get a ton of money for my b-day, I’ll be doing the baseball thing again. Ha, who am I kidding? At 26 years old, I need to stop expecting money for my b-day.
Sunday: and again. The Dodgers are in town, they only come three times a year, you think I’m going to miss out?
Should be a great week.
