Viva!!! Las Vegas!
I’ve been here for 12 hours now and I am already exhausted. Thank goodness we got in early because Mr. Directionally Challenged got us lost and we made it just in time for our first training session.
We spent the entire day navigating through show booths that were still being erected and learning about the latest and greatest equipment developments. It was really cool, but by 5 pm, my back was killing me and I was ready for happy hour.
We finally got to our room, a suite at the rear of the MGM Grand property, and all the exhaustion disappeared. I have never in my life stayed in a room this nice.
Valet service? Check. Kitchenette? Check. Flat screen TV (on which we watched the Rockies take game 3 — yeeeee haw!)? Check. Jacuzzi tub? Check. Telephone next to the john? Check. All the comforts of home? Check? View of the strip? No.
Okay, so we don’t have a room with much of a view, but all the rest of the stuff more than makes up for it. We have a stove in our room. And dishes. And this bed is so ridiculously comfortable, I may never leave. Vegas baby!
